For employers, HR leaders and benefits teams
Give your people cancer support that goes beyond treatment.
UCAN at Work adds a verified directory of cancer support to your benefits. Employees and the people who care for them find financial help, rides, housing and emotional support near home, in every state you operate in.
United Cancer Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Free for employees, always.

Why it matters
Most people don't learn what help exists until they're already overwhelmed.
Your health plan covers treatment. UCAN covers the rest of the list: the rides, the bills, the kids, the quiet hours in between.
Patients
Organizations for their diagnosis, filtered by cancer type and state, with local help listed first.
Caregivers
Partners, parents and adult children find their own support and respite, not only the patient's.
Managers and HR
One trusted link to share, instead of searching for the right answer each time someone asks.

Share where people already are
Slack, Teams, HR newsletters and manager toolkits.
Employees use UCAN privately. No logins, no HR integration, and nothing about an individual is ever shared with an employer.
For managers and HR
When someone on your team is facing cancer, managers will know what to do.
A diagnosis, or a parent or partner in treatment, changes what a person can carry at work. Most managers have never had that conversation. UCAN at Work walks them through it moment by moment, with the words that help and templates they can send today. HR sets it up once.

Guidance we trust
The manager guidance in UCAN at Work is written to line up with the Cancer in the Workplace: Supervisor Tip Sheet, co-authored by the American Cancer Society and the Business Group on Health, and with published guidance from the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor and Triage Cancer. Those organizations are the authorities. UCAN is not one and does not speak for them.
General guidance, not legal advice. Leave and accommodation rules vary by state and company size, so check with HR or counsel.

Questions
What HR teams ask first.
What does it cost?
UCAN is always free for employees and their families. Employers fund the program. One state for a smaller team starts at $3,000 a year, and pricing scales with the number of states you cover and the size of your workforce. Tell us what your people need and we will scope it with you.
Do we need IT involved?
Not necessarily. Most companies start with a link, which anyone who can edit your intranet or benefits page can add. If you would rather have UCAN sitting inside your portal, we give you an embed code to paste in, which usually takes a few minutes. Either way we prepare the page itself.
Will we see what our employees search for?
No. Employees use UCAN privately, and no individual activity is shared with employers.
Is this medical advice?
No. UCAN connects people with organizations and resources. It does not give medical advice, and it points people to their care team for medical questions.
How do you keep listings accurate?
Organization names, descriptions and links are verified state by state, and anyone can suggest a new organization through the site.
Can employees outside our main state use it?
Your page covers the states you choose, so employees in each of them see organizations near home. More states can be added at any time. Nationwide coverage, including the national directory, is a separate addition for distributed and remote teams. Tell us where your people are and we will set the footprint to match.
