The Cancer Fund (the parent company), United Cancer Network (d/b/a of The Cancer Fund), its employees, creators, board of directors, officers, affiliates, and related parties (collectively, “United Cancer Network”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provide the App, Services, and all associated content—including text, graphics, images, data, community features, digital notebook entries, reflections, notes, resources, tools, and other materials created by us or obtained from our partners, affiliates, or licensors (collectively, the “Content”)—solely for general informational, educational, supportive, and navigational purposes related to cancer awareness, resource connection, and personal reflection.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, MENTAL HEALTH CARE, OR PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES.

United Cancer Network is a nonprofit digital resource network designed to connect individuals and families affected by cancer with reliable information, local and national support resources, and navigation tools. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, clinical care, mental health therapy, counseling, or personalized health guidance. The Content should never be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment, consultation with a qualified physician, oncologist, healthcare provider, mental health professional, or other licensed expert.

No Doctor-Patient or Professional Relationship

Use of the App or Services does not create a doctor-patient relationship, therapist-client relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and United Cancer Network, The Cancer Fund, or any of our employees, creators, or affiliates.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, diagnosis, symptoms, treatment plan, or mental health concern. Never disregard professional medical advice, delay seeking it, or stop/alter any prescribed treatment because of anything you have read, viewed, saved, or inferred from the App or Services.

If you believe you may be experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 (in the United States) or your local emergency services, contact your doctor or crisis hotline immediately, or seek urgent professional care—do not rely on the App for urgent or time-sensitive needs.

United Cancer Network does not recommend, endorse, certify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, safety, appropriateness, or reliability of:

• Any specific physicians, healthcare providers, tests, products, procedures, treatments, therapies, medications, opinions, resources, or other information mentioned or referenced in the Content.
• Any third-party links, external websites, organizations, services, or materials accessible through the App.
• Any user-generated content, reflections, notes, or shared experiences within the App (including digital notebook features).

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any external resources, linked sites, or user-submitted materials.

Any reliance on the Content, the App, Services, or any information provided by United Cancer Network, The Cancer Fund, our employees, creators, contributors, partners, affiliates, or others appearing in or invited to the App is solely at your own risk.

United Cancer Network encourages users to treat the App as a starting point for learning, connection, and personal reflection—not as a replacement for individualized medical consultation, professional diagnosis, treatment, or mental health support.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CANCER FUND, UNITED CANCER NETWORK (D/B/A OF THE CANCER FUND), ITS EMPLOYEES, CREATORS, BOARD OF DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, AFFILIATES, AND RELATED PARTIES DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, SERVICES, OR CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY HEALTH-RELATED DECISIONS, OUTCOMES, PERSONAL INJURY, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, FINANCIAL LOSS, OR AGGRAVATION OF ANY CONDITION—EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater. These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise).

The Content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose.
